• Seomra Eile

  • Seomra Eile is an independent, non profit, community venture that serves as a welcoming place for members of the community to drop by and enjoy a cup of tea and participate in one of the regular events held such as the Knitting and Knatter group, Mother and Toddler group and many more. Many ideas are put into practice for fundraising and organising events for the local community such as children's treasure trails through the magical community garden to afternoon tea parties to raise funds for local charities.

A well-stocked charity shop offers good quality pre-loved clothes, books, bric-a-brac, DVDs and Cds. Many a treasure has been found on the sale rails or shelves. There is a school uniform swap shop that operates year round for all of the local schools where uniform can be exchanged for different sizes or purchased for a modest sum, thanks to donations of outgrown school wear for boys and girls.

The shop and centre plays host to the Dunmore Country Market and offers an outlet to local craftspeople to sell their wares with a commission taken to support the running of the centre and shop.

Everybody is welcome to call by and discuss options for groups they may wish to start up or for use of the facilities.

The community garden is an oasis in the centre of the town with meandering pathways leading down to a poly tunnel where people may pick fresh herbs, salad and vegetables for personal use if they are making a meal. Help is always welcome in the garden and it is there for everyone to enjoy. Regular open days encourage more visitors to become involved.
